Click here Edition 51 February 2024 INSIDE THIS EDITION+ CEO message CEO MESSAGEI got the opportunity to step back in time last week when I visited Rail First Asset Management’s maintenance and manufacturing facility at Islington (Adelaide). It was almost 43 years to the day since I started work at that site as fresh-faced apprentice fitter and machinist! The work that is undertaken at the facility is very impressive – from new wagon manufacturing featuring Australian steel and other Australian-made components to full locomotive overhauls, crew coach construction, and locomotive and wagon painting. And they’re pretty proud of their work – take a look at this video. Thanks very much to Beata Lipman (CEO), Peter Lanyi (COO) , and Paul Morris (GM Islington) for taking the time to show me around, and to help identify some of the areas where RISSB can be helping your business.
