And I must say that it’s been a genuine honour to have been on a judging panel for these awards. The level of energy, passion, subject matter expertise, collaboration, and in many cases tenacity to identify and drive change opportunities is truly impressive. And these submissions are evidence of an industry with a strong culture of leading and encouraging ongoing improvements in safety. Our industry has come a long way, and our leaders recognise that there’s always more that can be done. So, on the evening of the 30th of April we’ll be announcing the winners, and we’ll also be recognising the very inspiring efforts of many people in our industry to improve the safety of our workplaces and communities. Over three days, you will learn about the investigation processes, derailment theories, regulatory requirements, reports, triggers, maintenance requirements and so much more.
