RISSB Working with Industry

Since taking up the Chief Executive Officer position, I have met with many of our stakeholders and spent much time visiting our members to understand their needs and challenges and how RISSB adds value to their business. We play a critical role as a connector, working across industry to help our members and stakeholders. We also guide industry in the pursuit of a harmonised and interoperable railway.

With the stakeholder engagement that is currently being undertaken, it’s an exciting time for RISSB, and we look forward to enhancing our collaborative relationships and sharing knowledge and resources. We'll provide more information about this in a future edition of The Whistle Board.

During the next few months, I will be at IRSC 2019 and AusRAIL and so many other events and meetings, so please take the opportunity to engage with myself or any member of the RISSB team. Our door is always open.

This Standard has come a long way in recent months thanks to the continued support of a dedicated Development Group. A draft will be issued for comment in the near future.

Development Groups

Development Group Opportunity

RISSB is seeking nominations from people to join a RISSB Development Group to review AS 7640 Rail Management.

This Standard covers management of both new, existing and serviceable rails. This review of the Standard is to ensure that it represents good practice, continues to reflect the needs of our stakeholders, and refines its interface with the AS 1085 Railway track materials series.
