No Images? Click here Message from the CEOThis year continues to be one of significant growth. Last year we made an important and successful change to our operations with an organisational restructure and the addition of new staff. We started to refocus our efforts and roll out a long-term strategy that requires us to not only maintain our focus on products and solutions that boost customer productivity, but also set the standard for industry. This month we
intend to maintain the momentum with the opening of a new Melbourne office dedicated to meeting the needs of our members, and moving forward with some 25 product proposals - the most proposals ever received - put forward during the PPF Idea Submission Period. Priority Planning Forum (PPF) Ranking Starts Next WeekHelp us determine which products put forward for development in 2018 / 19 are the most important and will deliver the greatest benefit to industry, by prioritising them. For us to develop a forward work plan that best meets the needs of all stakeholders, we need your input and involvement during our PPF Ranking Period. The Ranking Period will run from Monday, 19 March to Saturday, 31 March. HF Integration into Engineering DesignA guideline to support the Human Factors integration into Engineering Design will go to the RISSB Board this month for approval to publish. This guideline provides an introduction to HF integration in Engineering Design, the integration process and common HF design considerations. Thank you to the expert Development Group for their valuable input. RISSB On the MoveThis month we're opening a new Melbourne office. Situated at Level 4 , 580 Collins Street, the office is only metres away from most of our Class 1 Melbourne members and Southern Cross Station, with a free tram straight out the front! Centrally located, the new premises will enable RISSB to host more DGs and industry meetings in Victoria. Congratulations to Class No.1 of 2018Congratulations to all who completed the National Rail Safety Investigation course held in Chullora earlier this month. This is the first of many training courses that RISSB will be holding this year. Keep checking our 'Events/Training' page for course information and dates.
