Horizons Program 3.0 Comes Up With Brilliant Ideas
The H3.0 Program participants excelled this week with 10 groups presenting their new ideas for rail.
The ideas covered an enormous range of topics including a proposed national forum, automated risk registers (both near and dear to RISSB’s role), applications of AI, robotics, solar power for rail, an app for freight logistics, a proposal to combine commuting with exercising, ways of reducing overhead wiring issues, continuous connectivity for passengers and UV cleaning robots on public transport.
MasterClass Webinar Duratrack Sleepers Tuesday, 10 August 2021
Integrated Recycling's General Manager, Stephen Webster, will be talking about the circular economy and how his company's innovative Duratrack sleepers recently received type approval from
V/Line and Metro Trains Melbourne following in-track trials, and how the sleepers can help meet targets set by each government for the use of recycled products.
Stephen will also highlight the collaboration with the Institute of Railway
Technology, Monash University, the Victorian Government and accredited rail
operators in bringing about this innovation.
