Click here Edition 62, May 2020 INSIDE THIS EDITION NEWSRISSB to Play a Major Role in National Rail Action Plan RISSB’s CEO Deb Spring attended a high level meeting involving the NTC, ONRSR and the ARA to discuss the National Rail Action Plan (NRAP). RISSB is excited to be able to contribute to the NRAP through its focus on Standards and interoperability. RISSB is very active in this space and looks forward to co-hosting as well as being a key participant in working groups to be established to take the NRAP forward. SPAD Categorisation Information The industry SPAD Group agreed on a national categorisation (A1 – A4 and B1-B4, based largely on the UK model) of SPADs in 2018 and this was adopted by ONRSR for reporting SPADs to the regulator in mid-2019. ONRSR has indicated RTOs are using the categorisation, but that further guidance material would be helpful. The SPAD Group and RISSB has commenced working with ONRSR on further guidance information for industry RISSB June Webinar Program Now Available This week RISSB launched its June 2020 webinar program featuring two international speakers, a partner from Deloitte and two guest technical experts. To view our upcoming program, please visit https://www.rissb.com.au/home/webinars/ AS 7664 Signal Cable Pits, Routes, and Foundations The Development Group attended another meeting this week to complete the review of this existing Standard. With a few minor changes made it was agreed that this Standard is ready to progress to public consultation. AS 7658 Level Crossings This Development Group has been working hard on reviewing this Standard over the past month. The current fully revised draft is being considered, with the aim to have it available for public consultation by the end of the month.
