Click here Edition 64, May 2020 INSIDE THIS EDITION NEWSRISSB Surveys Industry Periodically, RISSB formally and independently, conducts a survey to determine the usage of RISSB products (Standards, Codes of practice, Guidelines and Rules) and services (conferences, forums, training programs and the Horizons program). The survey results will create an informed, national picture that will help RISSB understand how it can enhance its product and service offering, as well as raise awareness of its activities. RISSB Launches Program Focusing on Track Worker Safety RISSB is launching a program to boost the safety of frontline track workers across Australia. The program of work follows extensive consultation with industry leaders who earlier this year acknowledged that track worker safety is industry’s number one priority. The program will span work packages across five key areas: technology, planning works, skills / competencies, (Safety Critical) Communications, and culture. Gold Creek Engineers Australia provides a unique design service, concentrating on development of large machine and plant, including mechanical design and dynamic structural design. Call for Development Group Members for a New Light Rail Standard RISSB has been engaging with stakeholders to understand what the industry needs to improve safety, constructability and operations of light rail networks. Feedback has been used to inform the development of a draft Light Rail Standards Framework that outlines the key issues RISSB is considering addressing in future light rail Standards.
