RISSB Recommences Stakeholder Visits RISSB CEO and Chair, Deb Spring, will be visiting a number of key stakeholders over the coming weeks. Ideas for RISSB projects and publications in 2021 / 22 will be discussed along with a number of exciting RISSB initiatives planned to commence in 2021. RISSB Safety Conference Draws a Huge Audience and Scores Top Marks Nearly 250 people were part of the 2020 RISSB Rail Safety Conference which used a fully virtual format for the first time. MasterClass Webinars To Continue In 2021 RISSB’s popular MasterClass webinar series will continue in 2021 with a star studded array of presenters being lined up including international experts, innovation and technology innovators, and inspirational leaders. Priority Planning Process Reminder We work to develop and deliver a suite of products and services which benefit our members and the wider rail community. Guideline For Mitigating Risk When Planning Works In The Rail Corridor The Development Group met for the final time this week to discuss the current draft and close out a few remaining topics. Following a final review, this new Guideline will be presented to the Operations Standing Committee early next month for approval. Safety Critical Communications Code of Practice The make up of the Development Group has been confirmed and a first draft prepared. The Development Group will meet for the first time early in December to discuss the scope and objective of this important Code of Practice. AS 7703 Railway Signalling Power Supplies The validation report was discussed at last week's meeting with a number of changes made to reflect the validator's recommendations. The final draft has been given to the Development Group for their final review prior to the approval process commencing. AS 7460 Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (Drones) Operational This Standard is its final week of public consultation. Next week the Development Group will meet to discuss the feedback received and to close out any issues prior to the validation process commencing.
