This document describes requirements for the structural strength of bogie structures and attached equipment.
The main purpose of the requirements is:
- to maintain the structural integrity of bogie structures and attached equipment under normal operation.
- to minimise risks to passengers, personnel, train crew and members of the general public in the event of collisions or derailments.
